June 17: TRUSTcompany - The Lonely Position of Neutral

Why do I own this? I really liked that "Downfall" song.

Yes, this is another nĂ¼-metal album, and yes, the reviews are right in that some of it sounds like Linkin Park without the annoying rapper. But other parts of it are downright good. Honestly. I like the singer's slightly breathy style, and I like that they openly admit they're heavily influenced by the Cure. However, points must be taken off because they're using the EXACT same guitar tone as Hoobastank, Fuel, and Audiovent. Must have been a big sale on that amp in '02.

Keep or Sell? Keep. But listen to samples on iTunes before picking up their second album this summer.
